This was another exciting year at Elm Place. The year started off on a great foot with our huge library renovation. The Elm Place PTO graciously and generously remodeled our library. The Elm Place Library had not changed since it was built in 1971. The PTO purchased all new bookshelves, carpeting, a circulation desk, cabinetry and a new computer lab with state of the art pods. They are also completing the lounge area where students can read or study, as well as a projection area for teachers with a screen , a mounted LCD projector, and a Prometheum Board
Award winning author Margaret Peterson Haddix visited the 6th and 7th grade students and shared her writing skills and techniques through a presentation. The students were excited to meet such a well known and popular author.
The Elm Place PTO held a book fair this year in the IMC. The Scholastic Book Fair raised well over $1700 in books for the IMC collection. Elm Place students and staff are honored to have such a dedicated PTO in our school.
The IMC continues to be a hub of learning at Elm Place School. Homework Club occurs every day after school from 2:45-3:45 andEarly Bird Club starts at 7:30 in the morning. Both programs allow any Elm Place student to get help, study, and use the computers during these designated times.
We are excited to model 21st Century Learning at Elm Place and the IMC is the place where it all begins. With the aesthetics, the technology, the students, and the staff continue to keep Elm Place a model school.

Student created i-Movies , Scratch projects, and podcasts .
